Stayed two nights camping, arrived late Friday night, followed signs and instructions which were well marked out to set up camp. Was greeted Saturday morning by staff who were kind, polite and didnt pressure us to pay, in fact we ended up paying on departure. The campsite has toilets and showers which were modern decor, clean and tidy. The shower is 50p for five minutes. There are two pubs within 5 minutes walking distances and tea rooms.
Brilliant again, great base for remembrance walk up gable. Dog friendly yes but if like us you have to leave the dogs in the car overnight can be a problem as the car park and camp site are devided by a river. In the winter no problem as we managed to pitch tent near the car, in the summer it might prove a problem. Also sheep in the field.
Great campsite, no fixed pitches and lovely clean toilet/shower block. Good pubs less than 5 minutes walk into town for breakfast and dinner. Recommend getting breakfast through the campsite
Extraordinary location. Views are truly amazing. For me it was all I needed. Everything else was just a nice bonus. Toilet/shower facilities were clean, well maintained. There are really nice spots on this site but be aware there's limited flat space. What I really like was phone charging shelf in toilet - there's no service though. Bonus for kids - sheeps and chickens on site! Bonus for grown ups - nice pub few steps away and two coffee shops serving breakfasts and lunches. Highly recommended!
I loved this place so much. Beautiful unspoiled landscape. High standards of cleanliness and customer service from local staff. Tranquil walks, beautiful lakes, pub and ice cream parlor, Farm animals. A truly magical place.
